AI assistants
Assistants guess at a library they haven't seen, and IzzyBlazor is newer than their training. Connect yours to IzzyBlazor's MCP server and it looks up components, parameters and working examples for the release on this site instead.
The server
The server is at https://izzyblazor.com/mcp. It uses the Streamable HTTP transport and needs no sign-in or key. Its
tools only read the docs, and it answers for the release this site documents.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http izzyblazor https://izzyblazor.com/mcpAdd --scope project to save it in the repository's .mcp.json for everyone on the project.
VS Code and Visual Studio
Add the server to .vscode/mcp.json in VS Code, or .mcp.json next to the solution in
Visual Studio, then use it from Copilot's agent mode:
{
"servers": {
"izzyblazor": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://izzyblazor.com/mcp"
}
}
}Cursor
{
"mcpServers": {
"izzyblazor": {
"url": "https://izzyblazor.com/mcp"
}
}
}Claude apps
In Claude's desktop app or on claude.ai, open Settings, then Connectors, add a custom connector and paste
https://izzyblazor.com/mcp. Any other client that supports Streamable HTTP takes the same address.
Tools
| Tool | Answers with |
|---|---|
search | Components, parameters, types, examples and articles that match some words |
list_components | Every component by category, with a summary and any mode limits |
get_component | A component's API: parameters with types and defaults, events, methods, mode support, parts, example ids and accessibility |
get_type | An enum's values, a type's members, or the shared style props |
get_example | An example's whole .razor source |
get_article | An article or a component's Overview, with its examples' source |
Answers are Markdown with links to this site. Ask for what you're building ("a settings form that posts on a static page") and the assistant picks the tools; naming IzzyBlazor in the request helps it reach for them.
Without MCP
- llms.txt: what IzzyBlazor is and a link to every article and component, for assistants that read a site.
- API metadata: every component's parameters, events, methods and types as one JSON file, for your own tools.
Next steps
- Blazor Web App: install the package and set up a new app.
- Render modes: what components do on static and interactive pages.
